We’ve all heard about how important our gut health is to our overall well-being, but what are leading experts saying about it? Sara Police, PhD, assistant professor of Pharmacology and Nutritional Sciences, recently sat down with Wayne Tuckson, MD, colorectal surgeon and host of Kentucky Health on Kentucky Educational Network to discuss the gut microbiome. During a segment titled, “Intestinal Biome: We're in This Gut Together” Dr. Police discussed the importance of bacteria living in our gastrointestinal tract and its effects on our energy metabolism, immunity, and mental health.
