Bio / Education: 

Dr. van Horne is a Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Kentucky. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine with an MD as well as a PhD in treatment strategies for Parkinson's disease. He completed his residency training in Neurosurgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. van Horne is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is nationally and internationally recognized as an expert in Neurosurgery.

Dr. van Horne has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders. He specialized in Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. His current research focuses on innovative and novel surgical treatment strategies for Parkinson's disease.
