UK Neuropsychologist Accepts Psychologist of the Year

The Kentucky Psychological Association (KPA) named University of Kentucky Chief of Neuropsychology Dong "Dan" Han the 2019 Psychologist of the Year during a conference on Nov. 15.

The KPA annually recognizes a psychologist with outstanding service to the field and the community. Dr. Han is an associate professor of neurology, neurosurgery, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Han is involved in the medicine community in several different ways, including being former president of both the International Society of Neurogastronomy (ISN) and the Lexington Board of Brain Injury Alliance. He is also the current chair of the Medical & Scientific Advisory Board of the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA), McMillan Chapter.

The KPA has represented the interests of psychologists in the Commonwealth of Kentucky since 1932. The KPA has played a leadership role in developing coalitions with other professionals and advocacy agencies provide greater coordination of services and public education on mental health issues. The association also provides mentorship and continuing education for psychologists and mental health experts across Kentucky.
